بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قال كعب الاخبار ان اسماء ملوك مدين منهم ابو جاد وهوز وحطي وكامن وسعفص وفرشت وقوم من العمالقة وقال بن عباس رضي الله عنهما معني ابي جاد أبي آدم اي خالف الطاعة ظاهر اوجد في اكل الشجرة ومعنى هوز أوّل من نزل من إلي الأرض ومعنى حطي حطت عنه ذنوبه بالتوبة ومعنى كامن أكل من الشجرة ومنّ عليه ربّه بالمغفرة ومعنى سعفص عصي آدم ربه فأخرجه من النعمة إلى النكد ومعنى قرشت أقر بادنب وسلم ومن العقوبة
Short text which presents the letters in the abǧad system in clusters identified as the names of the kings of al-ʻAmāliqa. It can be found in some tafsir works as part of the explanation of the first verse of sūrat al-baqara.
