He can be identified with Nūr Ḥusayn Warukko, the non-Oromo mythical Muslim founder of the Awwalini/Awuliani dynasty of Gomma. This origin is historically incorrect and can be explained with the intention of confer an Islamic and noble origin to the ruling dinasty of Gomma, the first Gibe state in which Islam bacame the religion of the whole people.
