Iranian ḥadīṯ scholar. His father was the author of Maǧmaʻ al-bayān (commentary of the Qur'ān) Abū ʻAlī al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥasan al-Ṭabarsī (al-Ṭabrisī) who died in 548 H in Sabzavār.
