Biographic comments
Ṣūfī and poet from Hadramawt; he grew up in that region with his uncle, then, after his ḥāǧǧ to Makka, he moved to Delhi, India, where he lived and studied for 20 years, before coming back to al-Šiḥr, his birth place.
