al-Kisā'ī, Muḥammad b. ʻAbd Allāh الكسائي محمد بن عبد الله
Ṣāḥib al-qiṣaṣ al-anbiyā' صاحب القصص الانبياء

Dates

Biographic comments

He is the alleged author of a work known as al-Kisā'ī's Qiṣaṣ al-anbiyā'. His name and patronym are based on the manuscript edited by Isaac Eisenberg in 1898. It is now considered most likely that al-Kisā'ī's Qiṣaṣ al-anbiyā' was not authored by one person but is a collection of anonymous narratives that reflect the religious life of medieval Muslims. Another text ascribed to al-Kisā'ī is ʻAǧā'ib al-malakūt.
