The exact authorship of this poem (which is structured as a taḫmīs) is uncertain. The colophon in TOSG00029, 25r - 25v mentions both "taḫmīsuhu" followed by al-Ḥāǧǧ Ādam and "muṭawwiluhu" followed by the otherwise unidentified šayḫ Rāḍiyā (?).
