Biographic comments
Egyptian journalist and Ṣūfī, who was active in the 20th century. In 1922 G, he founded the journal Liwā' al-islām. He was a member of al-Maǧlis al-ṣūfī al-aʻlā and founded Ṭarīqa Fayḍiyya Šāḏiliyya in 1935 G in al-Sayyida Zaynab, Cairo. He opposed the British colonial rule and was imprisoned.
