One of the most prominent pupils of al-Ǧazūlī, he obtained an iǧāza for the Dalā'il al-ḫayrāt on 16 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 862 H / 1st February 1458, and the verified copy he obtained is now known as the Nusḫa sahliyya and is the basis for many lines of transmission of the text.
