Biographic comments
The 14th amīr of Harar 1825-1834 G. He was the brother of amīr Aḥmad b. Muḥammad, who was first succeeded by another brother, ʻAbd al-Raḥmān. Subsequently, ʻAbd al-Raḥmān was deposed and ʻAbd al-Karim became amīr. ʻAbd al-Karim was succeeded by Abū Bakr, his son-in-law and nephew.
Commissioned the writing of Daftar Daftar taqwīm al-iḥsāʼ aʻnī al-istātistīk al-harariyya (AAIE00290).
